Teriyaki Express
About This Spot
Stepping into Teriyaki Express feels like entering a humble corner of familiarity tucked away just off the busy road. The exterior may hint at years of steady service, but once inside, the pace settles into a comfortable rhythm where the friendly hum of the kitchen and the quick movements behind the counter set the tone. It’s the kind of place where the small details—the sizzle of wings hitting the grill, the steam rising from freshly tossed lo mein—invite you to slow down and appreciate straightforward flavors made with care.
This modest, family-run spot embraces the casual charm of a neighborhood eatery where affordability meets generous portions. The atmosphere is unpretentious and welcoming; the focus here is clearly on feeding hungry locals who want something satisfying without fuss. You might notice the quick turnaround from order to table, a testament to how well this kitchen knows its rhythm, especially during lunch when familiar faces pop in for favorites like teriyaki wings or hearty plate specials that come together with comforting consistency.
What visitors often come back for is the approachable flavor profile—the mild sweetness of teriyaki glazes, the mix of crisp and tender textures in the wings, and the easygoing appeal of rice and noodle dishes that don’t complicate but rather complement daily cravings. It’s a spot where you can linger a little or grab a meal to go, whether you’re stopping in on a quiet afternoon or rounding out a busy day.
While you might pass by quickly without much thought, Teriyaki Express rewards the curious with a dependable, honest meal that feels like something cooked with hands that have done it time and again. The setting may ask for a forgiving eye, but the food offers a simple, human moment—a little warmth served up alongside a no-nonsense meal.

Good food, good prices, good portion size. Building looks a little questionable but overall we like it! The wings have a mild sweet teriyaki flavor and are very tasty. The rice is just normal fried rice. I’ve gotten the lo mein before and the rice is better.

Good portion sizes & great prices. Looks a little run-down, but that's based only on the outside appearance. Food was okay (teriyaki shrimp, fried vice, vegetables, eggroll). You truly can't beat the price, but just be prepared for a "cash-only" establishment.

Great great great! Especially for the price! The wings is the best thing there!

My boyfriend and I went here yesterday, on Christmas. Them being open on Christmas is an A+ - he rated his broccoli and chicken, with plain lo-mein platter an 8/10. My teriyaki chicken wings were a 10/10 for sure!!! The French fries were okay, they were soggy by the time I got home, from the moisture in the box. I didn't try the shrimp because it looked unappetizing, and I'M the one who ordered it. My S/O said they didn't have flavor, and it's butterfly shrimp I believe, not regular shrimp. The customer service at first wasn't good. We stood at the window and the older lady turned around and saw us, and never acknowledged us. They need to learn how to, first, greet their customers, the people that pay their salary, and not have them standing there waiting and knowing that you see them but don't care enough to acknowledge them. That's how you lose customers. Other than that, the food was good. The lady that actually took my order was nice and she gave the correct amount of change and a receipt.

The food is excellent and very affordable. Large portions for a modest price. It's a mom and pop/family restaurant and the service is impressively fast. 10-15 minutes from placing an order and your food is ready.

This place is a cornerstone of the Belvedere community. I've grown up eating from this place. They're a hardworking family who make good food at an affordable price. This is my favorite Chinese restaurant ever.
